Brief context. "They need it before their board meeting on Friday or the deal stalls."
3. What "done" looks like
The deliverable or outcome. "Send the proposal and confirm they received it."
4. When it's due
A specific date and time. "By Thursday 3pm ET."
5. What authority they have
Can they make decisions? "Use your judgment on formatting, but don't change the pricing without checking with me."
6. Resources and contacts
Links, files, people they might need. "Pricing is in the shared drive. Sarah has the latest version of the deck."
Delegating a client deliverable to a team member
“Hey Jordan, can you handle the Acme proposal? They need it soon. Let me know if you have questions.”
“Hey Jordan, can you send the revised pricing proposal to Rebecca at Acme by Thursday 3pm ET?
